A Moveable Feast (From Paris, Spring MMX)

A view from the Ernest Hemingway seat at the Closerie des Lilas in Paris, where magnums of the fine Pommery champagne sit iced on the bar, awaiting customers. The Closerie des Lilas cafe/bar/restaurant at 171 Boulevard Montparnasse in Paris' Sixth Arrondissement is where Hemingway wrote much of his first novel, The Sun Also Rises, in the 1920s.

The copy of the book in this photograph is the new edition of the work first published posthumously in 1964. The new edition was worked on by Hemingway's son Patrick Hemingway, and his grandson Sean Hemingway, and released in 2009. This book has less editing than the first, and is more as Hemingway intended it to be.
